I believe that there are two particularly epic road trips in Scotland; the NC500 and the NE250.
The North Coast 500 has been compared to the USAs Route 66. This acclaimed circular route round the north of Scotland, at just over 500 miles, is one of the most spectacularly memorable coastal routes in the world. My grandfather established the first bus service on the route a century ago.
